Elizabeth Gillies (born Elizabeth Gillis) is an American actor, performer and song writer. Her most famous roles include Lucy in 13 the Musical and Jade West on Nickelodeon's sictom Victorious. She started her career doing commercials. In 2007, she debuted on the screen in The Black Donnellys. From 2010-13 she played Jade West in the Nickelodeon TV series Victorious. Her main character was for the FX comedy show Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll (2015-16). Elizabeth Egan Gillies is a New Jersey native, born on July 26, 1993. Her family lives in Haworth. She is the sister of the brother born in 1996. She has a little Italian descent. Elizabeth Gillies studied at Haworth Public School. In her early years as a child actor, she played in numerous films including Babel (2006) and The Case of Benjamin Button 2008, and Phoebe in Wonderland 2008. In recognition of her role in Sofia Coppola's Somewhere the actress was awarded a Critics Choice Movie Award nomination in the year 2010. In 2011, she received recognition for her role as a lead character in the sci-fi action film Super 8, which won her the Spotlight Award in the Hollywood Festival of the Dead. She played the titular role as the titular character We Bought a Zoo, Ginger & Rosa and Maleficent.
