Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is Mexican musician who was born into a family of musicians. As a child, she was exposed to classical music as well as the traditional Boleros. She also listened to the traditional romance ballads as well as ranchero. Ana likes tangos as much as operas and other dramatic types. Ana began learning to sing and play music from an early age, along together with her mom. The formal training in singing at the age of 16 old, under the legendary Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. Her musical education continued with the School of Music of Guadalajara University. She then attended the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. She performed on stage in Guadalajara, Mexico City and other cities, both as a scholar and professional. In 2000, she emigrated back to America. United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Later, in 2007 she moved to her present home in Southern California. The group she is in currently part of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and regularly performs as a soloist in traditional Latin American music at private events. As a musician and teacher, she is committed to numerous community projects because of her passion and love for music. Ana was also part of both the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is currently an instructor in The Performance Loft. Ana is grateful being able be able to share her passion for traditional Latin American music. She is hoping that it will encourage younger generations to keep the traditional music alive.
