Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson born to British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby & Chris Watson in Paris, France. At the age of five years old when she left for Oxfordshire and went to the Dragon School. Emma was inspired to be an actor by the age of six. For several years she was at the Oxford branch Stagecoach Theatre Arts part-time school. There she learned singing as well as dancing, and also acting. At the age of 10 Emma was a participant in multiple Stagecoach productions, as well as school productions. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) is the film adaptation of J.K. Rowling's bestselling novel was first cast for the first second time back in 1999. Emma was discovered by agent via her Oxford teacher. After a string of auditions for eight consecutive times, producer David Heyman told Emma and co-applicants Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint that they had been cast to play three of the leads Hermione Granger Harry Potter and Ron Weasley. Emma's first cinematic appearance was in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in 2001. It broke all records on first-day and weekend revenues, and it also became one of the top 2001 films. The film was praised by experts, as was the performance of three stars. The Daily Telegraph, a well-read British publication, gave Emma high marks for her outstanding performance.
